- The Galaxy pillow top mattress boasts 2000 pocket springs. A pillowtop is an extra super-soft layer of padding permanently stiched onto the mattress. It’s designed to resemble a plush pillow resting on your bed, this non removable layer provides immediate “sink in” comfort while relying on the underlying mattress for support. The Galaxy features 2000 indivudual pocket springs sewn into it’s own fabric sleeve or “pocket” The springs move independently, reacting only to the pressure applied directly and contouring to your body shape and isolating movement for a more comfortable sleep and providing excellent back and joint support. If you share a bed the individual spring movement prevents the “roll-together” effect and significantlyreduces motion transfer when your partner shifts or gets out of bed.
