This dual season mattress has one side for the cooler seasons and the other side for warmer times if and when we get them.

A pocket sprung mattress features thousands of individual springs each encased in it’s own fabric pocket. These springs operate independently to contour to the body, offering superior pressure relief, motion isolation for partners, and better weight distribution. Because the springs are not wired together, they act individually, reducing roll-together and therefore limiting disturbance from a partners movement. It allows targeted support as the springs react only to the pressure applied directly to them, allowing the mattress to conform to the body shape.

A foam encased mattress features a sturdy border of high density foam surrounding the inner springs effectively creating a supportive “box”. This construction reinforces the mattress edge, preventing a “roll-off” feeling reducing sagging, and increasing the total usable sleeping surface. The foam perimeter provides superior edge to edge stability all over allowing users to sit or sleep near the edge without it collapsing. The supportive border helps the mattress maintain it’s shape, increasing it’s overall lifespan.

Spinal support in a mattress means the structure keeps the spine in a neutral,straight “S” shape while lying down, ensuring the lumber region is properly supported and pressure points like hips and shoulders are cushioned. It prevents excessive sinking, which leads to misalignment, pain , and poor posture. It provides natural alignment by maintaining the natural, healthy posture of the spine, whether sleeping on the back, side or stomach. It provides pressure relief by evenly distributing body weight. It reduces strain on the lower back, hips and shoulders allowing muscles to relax and recover.It provides lumbar support because it is specifically designed to fill the gap between the lower back and the mattress to prevent pain.

For the summer months the ice cool fabric uses  special materials to feel cool to the touch, wicking away heat and improving breathability. The cool ice material provides relief for hot sleepers by regulating temperature for a more comfortable nights sleep.

On the winter side is Tencel which is made from a soft sustainable material made from wood pulp(like eucalyptus) that’s know for excellent temperature regulation, moisture wicking breathablility, and a silky feel, creating a hygenic and comfortable sleeping surface.
